CHALLENGE

THEME: ANXIETY

             -what does anxiety feel like, sound like, look like. Come                   up with an abstract or other design that represents this               theme.

TIME: 3 CLASSES --- DUE at the end of class OCT 2

CRITERIA:

       -10x10 format ----- 200 Resolution (check with Munro)

       -use program of your choice (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator)

       -utilize at least FOUR (4) graphic design elements. One of             these must be SCALE.

MARKS: 30 for creativity, technical skill, use of elements

Assignment: create a 8x10 design that features three kinds of repetition

Today, I would like you to start off making a value scale. 

Value: Value gives all shapes, details and textures depth and dimension. Value is the range of lightness and darkness of a visual element.

1. Create a 10 section strip in Illustrator. The first section should be a pure black, the last section should be pure white, and the rest should be a gradual shift between the two (black, less black, ...)

This element helps with contrast and can be used in your design.

2. Find two examples of graphic design solutions that use low contrast and two examples that use high contrast. Attach in word and hand in in the Media drive.

3. Use the attached file HERE to do the Focal Point Exercises.

Create a 15 second film - WHOLE CLASS

Using your phone (or a school camera if you do not have a phone), create a short film that tells a story. This film cannot be edited, so plan what you want before you shoot.
